I am UKCP Accredited as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor and hold an MA in Transpersonal Psychotherapy and Counselling from The Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, Warwick Avenue (a UKCP and BACP Accredited course).
I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist for fifteen years now, recently completing an MA in Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy and have trained and qualified in a UKCP accredited diploma in Supervision course. I am committed to ongoing supervision of my practice.
I recently completed Part One and Part Two of EMDR Academy's accredited training package, equiping me to work with clients and aim to continue my professional development in this area over the next 6-8 months. (See www.emdracademy.com for more information)
I trained at the BBC as a BBC Executive coach and worked in the coaching programme there for three years.
I also have an MA in Transpersonal Counselling and Psychotherapy, awarded in 2002 and Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy awarded in 2001 and an earlier MSc in Politics and Sociology.
Areas of Specialism: I have worked with a broad range of issues and have found the in depth work I have done with clients around healing from trauma in childhood very rewarding. I am particularly interested in how we can free ourselves from the obstacles that hold us back or prevent us from achieving our goals, fulfilling our potential.
In tandem with my training in psychotherapy, I have worked in the media, with 18 years of experience working in Photography in Television. Once I qualified as a psychotherapist, I trained with the BBC as a BBC business coach in 2002 and worked as a coach at the BBC for three years before setting up the media consultancy, Push, with whom I am still an Associate. My approach in coaching is supportive, motivational and action-oriented.
I have now worked for the NHS as a counsellor for seven years also taking part in their provision of cpd, statutory training and supervision.
